Rev. Chaitram Babooram was born on the 19th of June 1979 to Bahadur and Kalautie Babooram. He is the last of seven children (a true expression of God’s perfection).
He was saved at the age of nineteen when he began attending the Dow Village Church of the Nazarene. While there he served as a Sunday School teacher, NYI leader and board member. At 25 years of age he enrolled at the Caribbean Nazarene College where he pursued his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology.
On August 12th, 2006 he got married to his beautiful wife, Leah. This union produced two beautiful children, Joshua who is now six years old and Gabriella who is three years old.
Rev. Babooram is currently the senior pastor of the Felicity Church of the Nazarene and has been there since 2008. Under his ministry the church has grown from approximately ten members to over one hundred and twenty today. He also serves as a member of the District Advisory Board as well as the District Evangelism Board. He has had the privilege of ministering at most local Nazarene churches as well as those in other Caribbean countries such as St. Lucia, Antigua, Barbados and Guyana.
Aside from his passion for preaching the inerrant, infallible Word of God and spending time with The Father, his hobbies are reading, football, cricket, basketball, fishing and spending time with his family.
His personal vision for his life is “To go where no man has ever gone before”. His personal mission statement is “To know Him and to make Him known”. His favorite scripture verse is Joshua 1:8:
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success“.
