3 types of spirit that impact our prayer lives

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

This verse appears pretty clear cut, right? Then why is it that as Christians we sometimes find ourselves unable to go boldly before our Heavenly Father to obtain grace and mercy? Reverend Babooram explored three types of spirit that have an impact on our ability to enjoy powerful prayer lives:

“Pharisitical” (Pharisaical) (Luke 18:9-14)
-a person practising strict observances of external forms and ceremonies of religion or conduct without regard to the Spirit; self-righteous, hypocritical

“Parasitical” (James 4:3)
-a person who receives support, advantage or the like from another or others without giving any useful or proper return, as one who lives on the hospitality of others

“Paracletical” (Luke 11:9-13)
-an advocate or helper. In Christianity the term most commonly refers to the Holy Spirit
