Yesterday’s (25th October, 2015) sermon was drawn 2 Samuel 9:1-13 which tells the story of King David’s kindness towards Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, whose name translates to “from the mouth of shame”. The scripture tells us how King David sought out anyone left over from Saul’s lineage, as he was determined to show kindness towards them in fulfilment of his covenant with Jonathan.
Three parallels were drawn out to show the similarities between the way King David called for Mephibosheth to bestow kindness and blessings on him then, and God’s attitude of loving-kindness towards His children now…
The King is calling you from:
- Shame to Honour
- Poverty to Prosperity
- Brokenness to Wholeness
